Trail Running

I’m an avid trail runner and I try to get out and run whenever and wherever I travel. In recent years I’ve had the good fortune to do some work in the California Bay Area and, thanks to some local trail runner friends, have been introduced to some gorgeous running trails not too far from Stanford. Aviation

A few years back I bumped into Sen. John Glenn and his wife Annie at the Denver International Airport. They were traveling home after visiting with their kids in Vail and didn’t seem to mind having a chat with a star struck admirer. I told Sen. Glenn that I had always wanted to learn to fly an airplane and his story was an inspiration. Without hesitation he looked me in the eye and said “do it”. So… I did. I’m still working on my private certificate but I try to get up in the air whenever my budget and schedule permit. This photo is taken looking to the north over downtown Boston.

Kids

I have two perfect kids. People say that about their kids but mine are really the best. They mostly keep me out of trouble.

Travel

Every summer my kids and I take a trip somewhere fun. I love adventure and exploring new places, cultures and foods. Paris is a favorite. This photo was taken at about 5:00 in the morning during a run through the city. Paris is so beautiful and quiet at that time of day, I felt like I had the whole city to myself.
